A walk-in waitlist for barbershops

Walk-In Waitlist gives your barbershop a walk-in line customers join from their phone. They scan the QR code at the door, pick their barber or Anyone, and get a text when it's almost their turn, so the shop doesn't fill up with people waiting.

How does a walk-in line work at a barbershop?

Put the QR poster on your door and counter. Customers scan it, type their first name, pick their barber or Anyone, and add a mobile number if they want texts. No app and no account.

They see how many people are ahead and a time range, then wait wherever they like. When their turn is close, they get a text to head back.

What does a busy Saturday look like?

Regulars wait for their barber, new customers take whoever is free, and the chairs never stop. The line keeps both straight: a barber's own regulars stay in his lane, and Anyone customers go to the next free chair.

When someone steps out for a coffee, they still get the text when it's their turn. If they don't come back in time, the barber marks a no-show and moves on.

Can customers wait for a specific barber?

Yes. Each barber has a lane, plus an Anyone lane for customers who take whoever is free first. Customers who asked for someone are never called by another barber, and Anyone customers go to the first barber who frees up.

Barbershops start with a lane for each barber plus Anyone. You can switch to one shared line or to a lane per barber only.

Which services are set up for you?

When you create a barbershop, you start with these services and their usual minutes, and you can rename, change or remove any of them: Haircut (30 min), Fade (40), Beard trim (15), Haircut and beard (45) and Kids cut (25).

Estimates use each service's minutes, so longer services are counted as longer.

What about customers with appointments?

Keep your booking app for appointments. Walk-In Waitlist only runs the walk-in line. When one of your barbers takes an appointment, set them on break until a time, and their walk-ins see a longer estimate or switch to Anyone.

What does it cost for a barbershop?

$29.99 a month for the first seat and $20 for each extra seat, plus sales tax. Every barber on your team list is a seat, you included. Each paid seat adds 750 texts a month, shared by the team. Try it free for 14 days, no card needed.

Questions and answers

What if a customer has no phone?

They can join without a number and watch the page, or your team adds them by hand with just a name. You call them out loud when it's their turn.

Does it work in Spanish?

Yes. The join page, the texts and the staff screens are in English and Spanish. Customers switch with one tap, and each barber picks their own language.

What do we need to get started?

A printed poster and one device to see the line: a phone, a tablet at the counter or a computer. Each barber can also follow their own lane on their phone.
