A walk-in waitlist for nail salons

Walk-In Waitlist gives your nail salon a walk-in line clients join from their phone. They scan the QR code, pick a nail tech or Anyone and a service, and get a text when it's almost their turn, so they can shop nearby instead of waiting inside.

How does a walk-in line work at a nail salon?

Put the QR poster on your door and counter. Customers scan it, type their first name, pick their nail tech or Anyone, and add a mobile number if they want texts. No app and no account.

They see how many people are ahead and a time range, then wait wherever they like. When their turn is close, they get a text to head back.

What about groups who come in together?

A customer can add another person when they join, like a friend or a kid. Each person gets a place in line, and one text covers the group.

If the front desk is busy, your team adds walk-ins by hand with just a name, and picks the nail tech and the service for them.

Can customers wait for a specific nail tech?

Yes. Each nail tech has a lane, plus an Anyone lane for customers who take whoever is free first. Customers who asked for someone are never called by another nail tech, and Anyone customers go to the first nail tech who frees up.

Nail salons start with a lane for each nail tech plus Anyone. You can switch to one shared line or to a lane per nail tech only.

Which services are set up for you?

When you create a nail salon, you start with these services and their usual minutes, and you can rename, change or remove any of them: Manicure (30 min), Pedicure (45), Gel manicure (45) and Acrylic full set (75).

Estimates use each service's minutes, so longer services are counted as longer.

What about customers with appointments?

Keep your booking app for appointments. Walk-In Waitlist only runs the walk-in line. When one of your nail techs takes an appointment, set them on break until a time, and their walk-ins see a longer estimate or switch to Anyone.

What does it cost for a nail salon?

$29.99 a month for the first seat and $20 for each extra seat, plus sales tax. Every nail tech on your team list is a seat, you included. Each paid seat adds 750 texts a month, shared by the team. Try it free for 14 days, no card needed.

Questions and answers

What if a customer has no phone?

They can join without a number and watch the page, or your team adds them by hand with just a name. You call them out loud when it's their turn.

Does it work in Spanish?

Yes. The join page, the texts and the staff screens are in English and Spanish. Customers switch with one tap, and each nail tech picks their own language.

What do we need to get started?

A printed poster and one device to see the line: a phone, a tablet at the counter or a computer. Each nail tech can also follow their own lane on their phone.
