A walk-in waitlist for hair salons

Walk-In Waitlist gives your salon a walk-in line clients join from their phone. They scan the QR code, choose a stylist or Anyone and a service, and get a text when it's almost their turn, so nobody waits in the chair by the door.

How does a walk-in line work at a hair salon?

Put the QR poster on your door and counter. Customers scan it, type their first name, pick their stylist or Anyone, and add a mobile number if they want texts. No app and no account.

They see how many people are ahead and a time range, then wait wherever they like. When their turn is close, they get a text to head back.

How does it handle long services?

A color takes longer than a men's cut. Clients pick a service when you offer more than one, and the estimate counts each service's minutes, so the range they see fits what's ahead of them.

Stylists who are with an appointment can set a break until a time. Their walk-ins see the longer wait and can switch to Anyone.

Can customers wait for a specific stylist?

Yes. Each stylist has a lane, plus an Anyone lane for customers who take whoever is free first. Customers who asked for someone are never called by another stylist, and Anyone customers go to the first stylist who frees up.

Salons start with a lane for each stylist plus Anyone. You can switch to one shared line or to a lane per stylist only.

Which services are set up for you?

When you create a hair salon, you start with these services and their usual minutes, and you can rename, change or remove any of them: Women's cut (45 min), Men's cut (30), Blowout (40) and Color (120).

Estimates use each service's minutes, so longer services are counted as longer.

What about customers with appointments?

Keep your booking app for appointments. Walk-In Waitlist only runs the walk-in line. When one of your stylists takes an appointment, set them on break until a time, and their walk-ins see a longer estimate or switch to Anyone.

What does it cost for a hair salon?

$29.99 a month for the first seat and $20 for each extra seat, plus sales tax. Every stylist on your team list is a seat, you included. Each paid seat adds 750 texts a month, shared by the team. Try it free for 14 days, no card needed.

Questions and answers

What if a customer has no phone?

They can join without a number and watch the page, or your team adds them by hand with just a name. You call them out loud when it's their turn.

Does it work in Spanish?

Yes. The join page, the texts and the staff screens are in English and Spanish. Customers switch with one tap, and each stylist picks their own language.

What do we need to get started?

A printed poster and one device to see the line: a phone, a tablet at the counter or a computer. Each stylist can also follow their own lane on their phone.
