How does Walk-In Waitlist work?

You print a QR poster, customers scan it to join your walk-in line from their phone, and your team calls them in from a phone, tablet or computer. Customers get a text when it's almost their turn, so they can wait wherever they like.

How do I set it up for my shop?

Step 1

Create your shop

Sign in with your email and the 6-digit code we send. Pick your business type, then add your hours, your team and your services. It takes about 10 minutes.

Step 2

Print the QR poster

Print it in color or black and white for the door and the counter. The QR code never changes, so you print it once. A short web address under the code helps people who can't scan.

Step 3

Start your free trial

Start the 14 day trial on the web, no card needed. Texts start once carriers approve your shop's number, which can take 1 to 3 weeks. Until then customers follow the live page.

Step 4

Run the line

Open the queue on any device. Invite your team with a link so each person can follow their own lane on their phone.

What does the customer do?

Step 1

Scan and join

They type a first name, pick a team member or Anyone, and add a mobile number if they want texts. They can add another person, like a kid.

Step 2

Wait anywhere

The page shows how many people are ahead and a time range. It updates on its own, and if the signal drops it shows when it last updated.

Step 3

Get the text

When it's almost their turn they get a text to head back, and tap I'm here when they arrive. Each visit gets 3 texts at most.

How does my team call someone in?

Each lane shows who is next. Tap Notify to text them, or start the customer ahead and the next one is texted for you. A countdown shows how long they have to get back: 15 minutes unless you change it, up to 15.

When the time is up, nothing happens on its own. You choose No-show, which texts them a link to join again, or Wait 2 more min.

How is the wait estimated?

Customers always see their place in line first, because that's always true. The time range comes from the minutes each team member or service usually takes, and it leans long on purpose, so people come back early rather than late.
